Happy Ritual Consumption Day, everyone!!! Er, I mean Happy Thanksgiving Day, everyone!!! I'm slightly depressed because I'm spending my third Thanksgiving alone. I live too far away and am too poor to go home every holiday so I gotta give up Thanksgiving and be glad I got Christmas. Does everyone have out their tiny violins by now? Oh, well...I'll still be able to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, talk to my mother on the phone, and after that is the dog show on NBC (which I absolutely adore), so I'm set. I should probably get to bed seeing as how I have an early parade call. Have a happy holiday and drive safe. Love, Sam. (P.S.: how do you like my "bountiful representation of the season" ^ perversion? Kind of illustrates where I'm at).

Happy 40th Birthday to Alexander Siddig!! (that's my favorite picture of him). I've been a fan of him since I was ten, almost eleven, years old and first saw him as Bashir in the 1993 premiere of ST: Deep Space Nine. Anyone who's also a fan should check out sidcity.net, his official website (not personally maintained by him), which has all the exclusive info a girl or guy could want about Siddig. One exciting piece of information at the moment is his role in the soon to be released film Syriana. Its got a lot of oscar buzz around it and great reviews including a possible nomination for Siddig but don't jinx it. I'm holding my breath and keeping my fingers crossed. So, Happy Birthday to Siddig and good luck. Oh, and a belated Happy Birthday to Terry Farrell (Dax on DS9) who had a birthday the 19th. Bye for now, Sam.

Guess what tomorrow is. November 21st? Well yes, that too, but it's also the 40th birthday of Alexander Siddig. This is one of my favorite pictures of him. I'll post my absolute favorite tomorrow. Besides being the day before his birthday the most exciting thing going on around here was the Anthro Club Henna Party provided by moi last Thursday... and today is Sunday. B_ _ oi_ College sure is a happening place or maybe its just me. Anyway, henna was great after a rocky start and a postponement from the week before. Here's a pic of some lovely designs I found on google images.

I was reading on a message board a couple of days ago when I came across some upsetting news. It seems that Fox has decided to make one more blunder in its show cancelling escapades and axe Arrested Development, one of the most originally funny shows to debut on television in a long while. At least that's my opinion and the opinion of a few others as well. But apparently not enough "few others" to keep the show on the air. I'm trying to be gracious and accept this news with some dignity but whenever I come across a new bit of that ever-encroaching trash referred to as 'reality tv' by some, and think back on every good show that has been cancelled before its time, I just get a big WTF! going through my head. And that gives me a headache, thank you. Kitchen Confidential is also apparently not going to be picked up for a full season which sucks because it wasn't a bad show and it had Nicholas Brendon in one of its roles. I guess I should add "starting a season earlier than your network normally does and after only a few episodes of your ratings-struggling critical darling and well reviewed fledgling, putting them on the back burner to the world series for a month" to my list of smart decisions made by network suits. No new find the blogger clues this post; I'm just not feeling up to it tonight. Bye for now, Sam.

Wow. Totally haven't posted in a really long time. Sorry 'bout that. However, I have written several posts out in my head before going to bed and then forgotten them. So, can't say I haven't tried. It's just that I've been completely wrapped up in this game that has made its way to our campus this semester called... ASSASSINS!!!!!! I'm crazed and I'm not even an assassin/target, I'm a non-target agent (my own phrase) helping a friend in the game avoid her assassins and bump off her targets. She's one of four people left at this point out of 156 players. We've smuggled her out of buildings, acted as human shields, tailed other people and staked out one poor girl so long she eventually just gave in after being holed up in a safe-zone computer lab for nearly an hour. It's been fun but I'm kinda ready for the game to be over. Keep your fingers crossed for me that my friend is the last assassin standing. And I thought I had nothing to write about. Before I sign off I'll put another fruitless clue about location, location, location out there for those of you (exactly 0) playing along at home: _ _ _ _ _ _ College is located about thirty minutes away from Rockford, IL the home of the band Cheap Trick. Bye, Sam.
