Mother's Day. You make one playful and obviously false remark about your brother's sexuality and he hauls off and throws a honey mustard packet at you. One that bursts open on impact and manages to smear its contents on your jeans in three places, your purse, and the couch (his, haha). What do horses have to do with this? Absolutely nothin'. I just wanted to see if blogger would finally let me publish a fricken picture with my blog, again. And they're pretty. WalMarts in Lake Charles (all 50 gajillion of them) apparently can't take a little rain. That's where we went to get a little Tide to Go for the pants and purse since we hadn't yet been to the restaurant, which was the whole reason we drove the two hours there in the first place. The Tide thingy didn't really work but I guess the time spent wiping it off, throwing a fit, fifteen minutes of sulking in the truck, ten minutes waiting for WalMart registers to come back up, giving up and driving somewhere else, buying the Tide thing, and finally applying it outside the gate at your brother's apartment doesn't really bode well for a product that works best on "fresh food stains". Oh well, it did help mitigate the honey mustard smell and blended the stains a bit more with the color of my jeans. After the drive to the second restaurant (first was too crowded) and the wait there to get in - I really didn't care anymore. Logan's is just a steakhouse. From the amounts of peanut shells on the floor and the wet benches I could have gotten stained there just as easily. The food was very good though. Grilled chicken over rice with fries, rolls, a baked potato and the raspberry daiquiri I treated myself to. All in all, I guess we ended up having a good time - my mother was pleased (especially with her steak) so, I guess that's all that really matters.
